It’s hard to turn your marketing brain off when you are out and about. I seem to analyze everything when I’m out, so this time, I thought I’d share a review of a restaurant I went to the other weekend while I was in Milwaukee, WI – AJ Bombers.
Some of my favorite restaurant memories as a child are from restaurants that I could throw peanuts on the floor (or P-NUTS as they call them). So, I wanted to take my son to a fun restaurant where he could do just that.
I was curious after going there, if the web site would be just as cool and give it the overall experience you get when you are actually there.
Here’s my 2¢ review;
Bomber Burger was just that! It was the Bomb. The atmosphere was super fun. Especially for my 6 year old. You clink on a bowl that is underneath a tube & the bartenders fly a bomber over to it & it drops a hatch that launches the peanuts into your bowl.
- After looking at the web site. I was disappointed that there were not any photos of the cool place. I only saw one image of a burger on their home page, so it didn’t really get my taste buds going & make me want to go. But, hey do a great job on integrating in their social media into their web site. Check out their feature from the Travel Channel’s Food Wars; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRMedqxwo-E&feature=player_embedded However, if you do watch the video, it does make you want to check it out!
- The staff had some T-shirts on that just had the bomb logo on it & I think it would have been fun to have the theme carried through a bit more with their attire as well. Maybe Army or Camouflage theme.
- Tobie (our graphic designer) was there about a month ago & raved about the Bloody Mary’s. It comes with bacon, cheese and a piece of burger. It’s delicious and served with a shorty! There are no photos of this on their site. Now tell me if you see this picture that Tobie took…if you wouldn’t get one the next time you went????
