Regardless of which platform you’re using, you should always use hashtags that are related to the content of the posts.

How Can You Find The Most Effective Hashtags?

One of the best ways to find effective hashtags if to take a look at what your competitors are using. You should also search for hashtags that are popular in your business niche. Ideally, you should always use a mix of highly generic, more popular hashtags with more specific hashtags that are less commonly used. You can also create your own branded hashtag, or a specific hashtag for your business events or contests (e.g. #IceBucketChallenge, #LikeAGirl, #NewYorkCityMarathon, etc.). If your post is related to a current trend or date, then you can search for related, trending hashtags that you can use (e.g. #ChristmasTime, #MeTooMovement, #AloneTogether, etc.).
