“Checking out”, is the newest way to let everyone know where you are leaving.

So how about we discuss “checking in” in order to “check out”.

“Check in” is a feature on the internet that allows your stalkers, your friends, your family, and those people you choose to pretend you are friends with know where exactly in the world you are, Almost like a “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago game.” Oh…. but… wait, it narrows it down even further, we get a city, a name of the place you are at, directions, and if so inclined you can even tell who you are with.  Whoever thought anyone needed to be that open and public about “where they are?” Super great….or super creepy?

So what is this “checking out” you are asking…..this is the best part of the whole process. After you have let your friends, enemies, and family….basically the world know where you were at (at which point you are easier to find than Waldo), you can tell everyone what you thought about the place you are leaving.

The “checking out” part is very interesting. I like that you can tell people your reviews and your opinions, with a three smiley scale, on wherever it is you were just at. Make suggestions for your friends and family, while at the same time leaving your stalkers to only guess where you went to next.

There are plenty of applications that have the “checking out” detail. Bizzy is one option. So, go keep your stalkers at bay and test out Bizzy’s website or download it on your mobile phone. Check it out! (Article written by Amy Lehman/Writing Intern from UW-RF)
